Step 20: Roscoff … welcoming guests

In Roscoff we welcomed our first visitors: Lisa’s parents dropped by with lots of laughter and love packed in and among other things some handy deliveries: pickled onions, strawberry-rhubarb jam, a delivery from SVB with new bowlines and much more. We are very grateful for their visit!

The trip to Roscoff itself was rather smooth sailing and took us only 3 hours, but the rocky approach and finding the harbour entrance were a little tricky but a cool adventure at the same time.

The little town itself looks different and Brittany’s identity shows in the little things: bricked houses from what appears to be the Middle Ages, Celtic carved letters on the restaurants and of course the sign posts more frequently in two languages: French and Breton („Brezhoneg“).

Next to groceries, sports, another round of laundry and André getting a haircut, Lisa learned to splice lines and we visited the nearby Île de Batz. More about that in our next post!
