Where the wind takes us

Learn more about our planned route, where we intend to go, and where we currently are. Please scroll down for offshore tracking on ocean passages.

Live tracking

Our position is transmitted via AIS (Automatic Identification System) whenever we are within range of a coastal VHF station. Many commercial and recreational vessels use AIS, which allows others to track their location in real time. If you’d like to learn more about how AIS works, read more here.

Satellite tracking

When we are offshore (>12nm), coastal AIS stations are not able to pick up our signal anymore. We have Starlink, which provides satellite internet from LEO (low earth orbit) aboard but as a backup we let our Garmin Inreach Mini device track our location constantly via GEO (geo stationary orbit).
